Bahrain's Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani welcomed on Thursday Oman's announcement of a corridor for the safe passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz.
Al Zayani made the remarks as he chaired a Gulf Cooperation Council meeting during US Secretary of State Marco Rubio's visit to the country.
"The Foreign Ministry is conducting a situation assessment with the relevant authorities in Israel and is examining the options for assistance," the statement said.
The operation changed the course of history as it was the impetus for US President Donald Trump to pull out of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal shortly after the operation's results were revealed.
Reuters quoted National armaments director Urs Loher as telling a press conference that it would not be Israel's Arrow defense system.
