Quote: "We have exhausted our capabilities for military support, I mean weapons and ammunition from Bulgarian military stockpiles.

We have already supplied 13 aid packages and have nothing left to send to Ukraine. What we can still offer is technical military support. We can ensure that military equipment is repaired in Bulgaria. That is our support."

Background:

  • The Bulgarian defence minister recently said the country will no longer supply military aid to Ukraine.
  • Ukraine's foreign ministry subsequently stated that Ukraine does not receive free military aid from Bulgaria and that defence cooperation between the two states takes place on a commercial basis.
