Drones attack several oil terminals and tankers in Russia

On the night of Wednesday, July 9, drones struck an oil terminal in Tver, Russia.

According to Ukrinform, Astra reported this.

After analyzing eyewitness videos, the publication concluded that the Tverneftoprodukt oil depot was on fire.

The oil depot of Tvernaftoprodukt LLC is located in the village of Elevator within the city limits of Tver.

It is owned by Tvernaftoprodukt LLC sales association, a subsidiary of PJSC Surgutneftegaz. The company handles the receipt, storage, and distribution of light petroleum products (gasoline and diesel fuel), operates its own network of 52 gas stations, and provides wholesale deliveries throughout the Tver region.

The attack on the oil depot was later confirmed by Vitaliy Korolev, governor of the Tver region.

Additionally, according to Astra, an oil depot in the village of Vyazniki in the Stavropol region was also targeted by drones.

“The fire at the facility in the village of Vyazniki has intensified. The flames have reached the tanks containing flammable materials,” wrote the region’s governor, Vladimir Vladimirov.

In addition, the Russian service of the BBC reported that drones attacked tankers in Taganrog Bay for the second night in a row.

“In Taganrog Bay, two tankers were again attacked by UAVs; they sustained mechanical damage. There were no casualties. The tanker crews have been evacuated,” said Yuriy Slyusar, governor of the Rostov region.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of July 8, the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck two oil refineries in Nizhnekamsk (Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation).
