Naftali Bennett, Gadi Eisenkot and opposition chairman Yair Lapid have declared that they will not form a government that relies on the support of an Arab party. This may have been born of cold political calculation – a tactical move, intended to bring in voters from the center-right by creating a sense of "Zionist consensus" and fend off smears from right-wing politicians and the media "poison machine."
