Poland ready to help Ukraine modernise MiG-29 fighter jets

Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz has spoken about progress in implementing an agreement under which Ukraine is to receive Polish MiG-29 fighter jets in exchange for granting Poland access to Ukrainian drone technologies.

Details:Kosiniak-Kamysz also commented on reports that Ukraine had raised concerns about the technical condition of the Polish MiG-29s, saying Warsaw is ready to help modernise the aircraft.
Quote:"We are open to discussions. If Ukraine believes the aircraft need to be modernised, we can certainly help. However, the costs in that case should be covered by the Ukrainian state or by allied countries willing to assume those costs."
Details:The minister noted that reaching an agreement on the matter is feasible, but "the principle of reciprocity must be respected".
Kosiniak-Kamysz also stressed that "there is certainly much more good news than there was just a few days ago".
