In the Sumy region, two civilians were killed and 14 people were injured over the past 24 hours as a result of Russian military strikes.
According to Ukrinform, the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported this on Telegram.
Damage and destruction to private homes, vehicles, and civilian infrastructure were also reported.
In the Yampil community, a 57-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man were killed when a UAV struck their home. Two children (a one-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl) and women aged 37, 39, 57, 75, and 78 were also injured.
In the Konotop community, three children (boys aged 2, 9, and 15), a 37-year-old woman, and a 47-year-old man were injured when an enemy drone struck a house.
In the Bilopilia community, two men aged 37 and 54 were wounded when explosives were dropped from a drone onto a car.
Over the past 24 hours, from the morning of June 4 to the morning of June 5, Russian troops carried out more than 40 attacks on 23 settlements in 19 territorial communities of the region. The enemy used artillery, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs.
The highest number of shelling incidents was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.
Over the past 24 hours, the air raid alert in the Sumy region lasted 20 hours and 26 minutes.
As reported by Ukrinform, in Konotop, Sumy region, a Russian drone struck a private home, injuring five people, including three children.
