A Russian drone attack overnight on May 30 destroyed the railway station building in the city of Shostka in the Sumy region and damaged railway infrastructure.
Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba said on Facebook that Russian forces struck the site with several dozen kamikaze drones.
According to Kuleba, the direct hits completely destroyed the station building and damaged infrastructure at the railway station.
No railway employees or passengers were injured in the attack, as people were sheltering during the air raid, he said.
Railway workers are currently working to eliminate the consequences of the strike and restore operations.
Earlier, Ukraine's air defense forces reported intercepting five Kh-101 cruise missiles and 279 drones launched by Russian forces during a large-scale overnight attack that began on the evening of May 29.
