On the morning of July 8, the Russian army struck an apartment building in Kharkiv.
According to Ukrinform, Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram.
“According to preliminary information, the Russian army struck a five-story residential building in the Nemyshlianskyi district,” the message reads.
Shortly thereafter, Syniehubov added that one person had been killed as a result of the strike.
“In the Nemyshlianskyi district, there are currently nine known casualties from the enemy strike. All are receiving medical care. There is also preliminary information about one fatality,” the official said.
Meanwhile, Mayor Ihor Terekhov reports that more than 10 people are already injured.
“As of now, one person is known to have died as a result of a missile strike on a residential building. We also have more than ten wounded across all locations hit this morning, and that number is rising,” the mayor noted.
According to him, before the missile strike on the building, the Russians also struck a gas station in the Kyivskyi district with a drone, causing a fire, and launched a drone attack on the Nemyshlianskyi district.
As previously reported, nine people were injured in Kharkiv as a result of a Russian nighttime strike on July 8.
