Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held talks with Japan's Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Ryosei Akazawa in Tokyo, focusing on strengthening economic cooperation, Ukraine's energy resilience, and Japan's role in the country's post-war reconstruction.
According to Ukrinform, Sybiha shared details of the meeting on the social media platform X.
"In Tokyo, I had a substantive meeting with Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Ryosei Akazawa. We discussed strengthening Ukraine-Japan economic cooperation, Ukraine's energy resilience, and an important role of the Japanese Government in Ukraine's recovery," Sybiha said.
He expressed confidence that close cooperation with Japan would accelerate Ukraine's modernization and support a technology-driven, sustainable economic transformation.
Sybiha also expressed gratitude to Japan, its government, and its people for their consistent support since the early days of Russia's full-scale invasion.

Sybiha is on a working visit to the Republic of Korea and Japan from June 29 to July 2.
