As of March 30 morning, users in seven regions are without power due to new Russian attacks on the power grid.
According to Ukrinform, NPC Ukrenergo reported this on Facebook.
"Due to shelling of energy infrastructure, as of this morning, users in the Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions are without power. Emergency repair work has already begun wherever safety conditions permit. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore equipment damaged by the enemy as quickly as possible," the statement reads.
As of 9:30 a.m. on Monday, electricity consumption was 2.7% higher than the previous weekday, March 27. The increase in consumption is due to cloudy weather across most of Ukraine, which reduces the efficiency of residential solar power plants.
Ukrenergo is encouraging Ukrainians to be mindful of their electricity consumption and to distribute it wisely.
"It is advisable to shift active electricity usage today to the period when solar power plants operate most efficiently, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. In the evening hours, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., there is a need for economical electricity consumption. Please limit the use of high-power electrical appliances during this time," Ukrenergo notes.
As reported, on Monday, March 30, power restriction schedules will be in effect for industrial users from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
