Following a massive air attack by Russian forces, trains in the Rivne, Vinnytsia, and Zhytomyr regions have been forced to change routes.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by Ukrzaliznytsia on Telegram.
It is noted that due to the large-scale enemy attack and damage to railway infrastructure, a number of trains in the three regions had to alter their routes.
“This means delays along the way, which can be tracked on the uz-vezemo platform. Backup diesel locomotives have already been deployed on all de-energized sections. Inspection and repair of the infrastructure have also begun,” the statement said.
At the same time, it was emphasized that monitoring teams managed to protect dozens of passenger trains from more than a hundred drones and missiles.
“We apologize for the forced stops and several nighttime evacuations – the worst was avoided thanks to the coordinated work of railway employees and the skill of the Defense Forces,” Ukrzaliznytsia noted.
As reported earlier, overnight Russian troops launched a large-scale strike across Ukraine using drones as well as ballistic and cruise missiles.
