Over the past 24 hours, on June 7, 240 clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders took place on the front lines.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in a Facebook post, outlining the situation as of 8:00 a.m. on June 8.
The enemy carried out 86 airstrikes, dropping 265 guided bombs. In addition, the Russians deployed 9,184 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,296 shelling attacks, including 38 from multiple launch rocket systems.
The Russian army carried out airstrikes in the areas of Fotovyzh, Tovstodubove, Bachivsk, Vilna Sloboda, Sukhodil, Ulanove, Lisne, Partyzanske, Stukalivka, and Holyshivske in the Sumy region.
The Air Force, Rocket Forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck two areas of troop concentration, three UAV command posts, and two Russian artillery systems.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, one combat engagement occurred; the enemy carried out four airstrikes using nine guided bombs and conducted 94 shelling attacks, including 17 from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces launched 10 attacks near Starytsia, Lyman, Vovchanski Khutory, and toward Okhrimivka and Dvorichanske.
In the Kupiansk sector, the Defense Forces repelled one enemy attempt to advance toward Hlushkivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russian forces made 17 attempts to breach defenses in Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Stavky, Dibrova, and toward Shyikivka and Lyman.
In the Sloviansk sector, the invaders launched 12 assaults near Zakitne, Riznykivka, and toward Kryva Luka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the Russians made two unsuccessful attempts to dislodge the Defense Forces from their positions near Nykyforivka and toward Tykhonivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian invaders carried out 17 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and Illinivka, as well as toward Mykolaipillia.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the Defense Forces repelled 30 assaults by the Russian Federation’s army in the areas of Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, and toward Novyi Donbas, Novooleksandrivka, Shevchenko, Bilytske, Dobropillia, Serhiivka, Novopidhorodne, and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy attacked five times in the areas of Ternove, Vorone, and toward Dobropillia.
In the Huliaipole sector, the invaders carried out 38 attacks near Rybne, Varvarivka, Zaliznychne, and toward Novoselivka, Dobropillia, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, Staroukrainka, Huliaipole, and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy launched a single assault in the Stepove area.
In the Prydniprovske sector, the Defense Forces repelled one offensive operation toward Antonivka.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of Russian offensive groupings were detected.
As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine—from February 24, 2022, to June 8, 2026—amount to approximately 1,374,950 personnel.
