A total of 268 combat engagements between Ukraine's Defense Forces and Russian troops were recorded along the front line on July 3.

As Ukrinform reports, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a Facebook update on the battlefield situation as of 08:00 on July 4.

Russian forces launched one missile strike using a single missile, as well as 93 airstrikes, dropping 273 guided aerial bombs.

In addition, the Russians deployed 10,106 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,087 attacks, including 38 using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

Ukraine's Air Force, missile forces, and artillery struck three command posts, nine areas of Russian troop concentration, six artillery systems, and five UAV command posts.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, six combat engagements took place. Russian forces carried out 74 attacks, including four using MLRS.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy launched 17 attacks near Vovchansk, Khatnie, Lyman, Starytsia, Artilne, and toward Izbytske and Bochkove.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops attacked five times toward Kupiansk and Novoosynove, as well as near Kolisnykivka and Novoplatonivka.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces attempted 15 assaults, attacking toward Druzheliubivka, Novoselivka, Lyman, Shyikivka, Stavky, Drobysheve, Dibrova, and near Ozerne.

In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy launched 26 assaults toward Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and near Riznykivka and Zakitne.

In the Kramatorsk sector, one combat engagement occurred near Malynivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces carried out 27 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Dovha Balka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, and Stepanivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 22 Russian assaults near Nykanorivka, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Rodynske, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, and toward Myrne, Novopavlivka, Ivanivka, Shevchenko, and Serhiivka.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy launched one attack near Berezove.

In the Huliaipole sector, Russian troops carried out 18 attacks near Dobropillia and toward Tsvitkove, Rizdvianka, Vozdvyzhivka, and Charivne.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukraine's Defense Forces repelled one Russian attempt to advance toward Pavlivka.

In the Prydniprovske sector, Russian forces conducted no offensive operations.

No signs of Russian offensive groupings were detected in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.

As Ukrinform reported, Russia's total combat losses since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,408,340 personnel as of July 4, 2026.
