Over the past 24 hours, on July 7, 271 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders occurred on the front lines.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided an update on Facebook about the situation as of 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8.
The enemy launched one missile strike, firing 71 missiles, and carried out 90 airstrikes, dropping 272 guided bombs.
In addition, the Russians deployed 10,063 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,065 shelling attacks, including 42 from multiple launch rocket systems.
The Defense Forces’ Air Force, Missile Forces, and Artillery struck eight areas where Russian troops were concentrated, five Russian UAV command posts, five artillery systems, three command posts, an ammunition depot, and two other key targets of the invaders.
Two clashes occurred in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors; the Russian Federation’s army carried out 55 shelling attacks, including two using MLRS.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy launched 12 attacks in the areas of Starytsia, Lyman, Artilne, and toward Kudiivka and Khatne.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces carried out two attacks toward Kupiansk-Vuzlovy and Kivsharivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russian forces attempted 17 times to breach the defenses in the areas of Novomykhailivka, Kopanky, Drobysheve, Yampil, Nadiia, Novoselivka, and toward Borova, Lyman, Ozerne, and Dibrova.
In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy launched 27 assaults toward Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and in the areas of Riznykivka and Zakitne.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian invaders carried out two attacks in the area of Nykyforivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the Russian army carried out 18 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, and toward Stepanivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the Defense Forces repelled 51 assaults by Russian troops in the areas of Ivanivka, Dorozhne, Hryshyne, Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, and toward Vilne, Kucheriv Yar, Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Shevchenko, Myrne, and Serhiivka.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy launched four attacks in the Kalynivske area and toward Verbove.
On the Huliaipole sector, the invaders carried out 24 attacks toward Dobropillia, Hirke, Tsvitkove, Staroukrainka, Vozdvyzhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipilske, Charivne, and Olenokostiantynivka.
In the Orikhiv and Prydniprovske sectors, the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of the Russian Federation forming offensive groups were detected.
According to Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian troops since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, from February 24, 2022, to July 8, 2026, are approximately 1,413,510 personnel.
