President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stressed that Ukraine is not at war with Iran and added that the deployment of Ukrainian personnel to the Middle East is for "expert assessment".

Background:
Ebrahim Azizi, a member of the Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy of Iran's parliament, claimed that Ukraine has turned its territory into a legitimate target for Iran because of supposed drone assistance to Israel.
Ukraine's Foreign Ministry compared Iran's threats to the logic of a serial killer attempting to justify their actions.
In February, Zelenskyy said he would support a US operation directed against Iran's regime rather than against its people.
