The Israeli military said that it had killed two Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad operatives in a "precise strike" in Gaza last week, alleging that the members, Hussein Qadra and Mohammed Farra, were part of a Hamas-run financial network that facilitated the transfer of more than 500 million shekels ($170 million) to the group's military wing.

The Israeli military named one soldier killed in southern Lebanon as Staff Sgt. Nave Habshoosh, 20, from the West Bank settlement of Geva Binyamin.

Habshoosh was among four soldiers killed when a tank was hit overnight into Friday in the Lebanese town of Tebnit.

Report: Israel-Hezbollah conflict added to opening session of U.S.-Iran talks

The opening session of U.S.-Iran talks is set to be an emergency discussion on the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, CBS News reported Sunday, citing a diplomat attending the talks.

According to the report, the introduction of the Lebanon conflict to the talks marks a shift in U.S. strategy.

On Saturday, U.S. Vice President JD Vance told reporters before departing for Switzerland that he hopes to make progress on the nuclear issue and the Lebanon cease-fire, adding that he can only stay in the country for "a day or two."

U.S. President Donald Trump said no tolls would be imposed on vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz during the 60-day cease-fire period or afterward.

In a Truth Social post, Trump added that if the agreement is not completed, the United States could impose tolls "for services rendered as the Guardian Angel to the countries of the Middle East" as reimbursement for past, present and future costs.
