Ahmad Vahidi, the caretaker commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, has made his first public appearance since the start of the US-Israel war on Iran, according to Al Jazeera.
The appearance comes as Iran prepares for the funeral of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed in an air strike early in the conflict.
Khamenei’s coffin arrived at the ceremony site near the Imam Khomeini Hussainiya mosque in southern Tehran on Thursday evening, where senior Iranian officials gathered to pay their respects.
