Kuleba: Ten killed, around 100 injured in massive Russian attack across Ukraine

In Ukraine, ten people were killed and around 100 injured as a result of Russia's massive attack on June 2.

Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Overnight, Russia carried out a massive strike on Ukraine, which it had been preparing for a long time. The enemy fired about 80 missiles of various types and more than 600 drones. Ten people were killed," Kuleba said.

According to him, the main target was the Ukrainian capital, with strikes recorded in almost all districts of Kyiv.

Four people were killed in Kyiv. More than 50 others were injured, including children. Residential buildings, a clinic, and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.

The Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa regions and other regions were also under attack.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, six people were killed and 36 injured, including children. Residential buildings, enterprises, and public facilities were destroyed or damaged.

In the Odesa region, Russian forces struck a hospital and a maternity ward. At the time of the attack, mothers with newborns were inside, but no injuries were reported.

"Russia once again deliberately targets civilian infrastructure, residential areas, hospitals, and facilities that have no military significance," Kuleba said.

All emergency services, local authorities, and municipal services are working on-site, providing assistance to victims and documenting the damage.

As previously reported, Ukraine's air defense forces neutralized 40 missiles and 602 drones launched by Russian forces from the evening of June 1.
