Northrop Grumman and Hanwha Aerospace signed a MOA to collaborate on development of a first stage solid rocket booster for Northrop Grumman’s Advanced Reactive Strike (AReS) capability, a surface-launched, extended-range weapon system enhancing stand-off strike capability in contested environments.

Northrop Grumman and Hanwha Aerospace have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to begin the initial phase of collaboration for the development of a first stage solid rocket booster for Northrop Grumman’s Advanced Reactive Strike (AReS) capability. AReS is a deployable, surface launched, extended-range weapon system that provides stand-off strike capability in high contested and denied environments.
