A Nova Poshta branch in the village of Novomykolaivka, Zaporizhzhia region, was destroyed overnight by a Russian strike drone, with no casualties reported.
According to Ukrinform, the company's press service announced this on Telegram.
"Last night, the enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia and the [Zaporizhzhia] region. As a result of a strike by a Geran-2 drone, a Nova Poshta branch in Novomykolaivka was destroyed," the statement said.
The company stressed that none of its employees were injured, as the branch had been closed at the time of the attack.
More than 150 parcels were destroyed in the resulting fire. The company is already contacting customers whose shipments were at the branch. The preliminary amount of compensation is estimated at around UAH 300,000.
Nova Poshta will soon deploy a mobile branch nearby to continue serving customers.
Early on April 9, the Russian army attacked the Zaporizhzhia district, carrying out at least eight strikes. A woman was injured.
