During a large-scale Russian attack on Ukraine overnight, one drone entered Romanian airspace before disappearing from radar near the border.

Details: Romania's air defence systems detected two aerial assets in the border area.
One of them entered Romanian airspace, but it disappeared from radar 16 km southeast of the village of Chilia Veche in Tulcea County, over an uninhabited area.
The ministry said Romanian military personnel will begin a search operation in the morning.
The ministry also condemned Russia's actions, "which endanger regional security and constitute a serious violation of international law".
Background:
Since the start of the full-scale war, Russian Shahed-type drones have repeatedly fallen on the Romanian bank of the Danube and at times have flown deeper into the country's territory.
After the first such cases, air-raid warnings began to be issued for border areas along the Danube, and later the scrambling of aircraft also became routine procedure.
In one case, a UAV resembling a Gerbera flew dozens of kilometres deep into the country's territory and crashed behind private property.
Moldova has also reported incursions of Russian drones into its territory on numerous occasions.
