Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has noted a positive shift in tone and evaluations in the G7 leaders' latest statement on Ukraine.

More details: Ukraine's foreign minister added that this is an important signal of support that Ukraine highly values.
He also said Ukraine is grateful to the G7 for its willingness to take concrete steps to strengthen Ukraine's defence capabilities, its air defence and energy resilience, as well as to tighten sanctions against Russia.
"While Russia shows no willingness to engage in good-faith diplomacy, the available leverage needs to be used to finally bring it to the negotiating table," he concluded.
Background:
In their statement following the summit, G7 leaders said they are willing to consider the possibility of granting licences for the production of interceptor missiles directly in Ukraine.
In addition, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that all the G7 countries see no willingness from Russia to end the war and believe that sanctions should be used to force it to the negotiating table.
