The US informed Israel that the ceasefire with Iran will expire on Sunday, Israeli media is reporting.
Israeli public broadcaster KAN reported that Washington conveyed to Tel Aviv that the timeframe set by President Donald Trump for Tehran is set to end within a few days.
It added that Trump is seeking to reach understandings with Tehran instead of engaging in open-ended discussions.
Israeli sources said a breakthrough in US-Iran talks by the end of the week appears unlikely, and described "confusion" in US actions.
Earlier, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said President Donald Trump has not set a timeline for receiving a proposal from Iran.
"The President chose to extend the ceasefire because it's Iran who needs to get their act together," Leavitt told reporters.
