A total of 259 combat engagements between Ukraine's Defense Forces and Russian invading troops were recorded along the frontline over the past day, July 1.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook in its operational update as of 08:00 on July 2.
Russian forces launched two missile strikes using two missiles and carried out 79 airstrikes, dropping 240 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the invaders deployed 9,463 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,924 attacks, including 36 using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
Ukraine's Air Force, missile troops, and artillery struck five clusters of Russian personnel and one enemy command post.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Russian forces carried out 63 attacks, including six with MLRS.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian troops launched 14 attacks toward Ternova, Chaikivka, Sheviakivka, Zarubynka, Khatnie, and in the areas of Lyman, Starytsia, and Artilne.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched one attack near Borivska Andriivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russian troops attempted 11 times to break through Ukrainian defenses, attacking near Novoselivka and toward Stavky, Ozerne, Lyman, and Drobysheve.
In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy launched 28 assaults toward Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and near Riznykivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, three combat engagements were recorded toward Tykhonivka, Mykolaivka, and near Chasiv Yar.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces carried out 20 attacks in the areas of Novodmytrivka, Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Stepanivka, and toward Raiske.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 33 Russian assault attempts in the areas of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Vasylivka, Novomykolaivka, Molodetske, Hryshyne, Udachne, and toward Toretske, Novyi Donbas, Bilytske, Shevchenko, Serhiivka, Novohryshyne, Novopavlivka, and Novopidhorodnie.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Ukrainian forces stopped five enemy attacks near Sichneve, Zlahoda, and Vorone.
In the Huliaipole sector, Russian troops carried out 22 attacks near Dobropillia and Myrne, as well as toward Hirke, Rivne, Krynychne, Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipilske, and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukraine's Defense Forces repelled one Russian attempt to advance near Mali Shcherbaky.
In the Dnipro River sector, Russian forces conducted no offensive operations.
No signs of Russian offensive groupings forming were detected in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russia's total combat losses since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,405,900 personnel, including 1,140 killed or wounded over the past day.
