Explosions were heard in Kyiv overnight Monday-Tuesday during a Russian drone attack on the capital, Ukrinform reported, citing its correspondent.
Ukraine’s Air Force had warned that groups of Russian UAVs were moving toward Kyiv from the east. The Kyiv City Military Administration also alerted residents that air defenses could be operating and urged people in the capital to remain in shelters.

Kyiv City Military Administration head Timur Tkachenko later said drone debris had fallen on a residential building in the city’s Obolonskyi district.
“In the Obolonskyi district, drone debris fell onto the roof of a 20-story residential building,” Tkachenko wrote on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
No immediate casualties were reported in Kyiv.
The attack came as Ukraine’s General Staff said 133 combat clashes had taken place across the front since the start of the day. Russian forces used 4,901 kamikaze drones and carried out 1,926 attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian positions, the General Staff said.
The heaviest fighting was reported on the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole axes.
On the Pokrovsk axis, Russian forces launched 26 attacks near Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Bilytske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, Novopidhrodne, Molodetske and toward Novopavlivka. Four attacks were still ongoing at the time of the report.
According to preliminary Ukrainian estimates, Russian losses on the Pokrovsk axis included 50 soldiers killed and 17 wounded. Ukrainian forces also reported destroying one multiple launch rocket system, six vehicles and 50 personnel shelters, while damaging three vehicles and two guns. The General Staff said 150 Russian UAVs of various types were destroyed or suppressed in the area.
