German Foreign Minister Johannes Wadephul has voiced concern over Israel's expanding ground offensive in southern Lebanon, warning that further escalation could deepen an already volatile crisis.
"The Israeli army's advance further into southern Lebanon is cause for serious concern," the statement said, adding: "Any further escalation will exacerbate the already tense situation and trigger new waves of displacement within Lebanon."
Kuwait says its international airport has been badly damaged by Iranian drones, and traffic is suspended.
The uncertainty has weighed heavily on the 20,000 seafarers trapped in the Iran war zone.
Israel continues its campaign in the south, though has not struck Beirut after a deal announced by the US.
