Israel’s High Court orders prison service to provide adequate food to all security detainees

Israel's High Court ruled Thursday that the Israel Prison Service must provide sufficient food to maintain the health of all security prisoners, not only those with exceptionally low body mass index.

In a September ruling, the court found indications that prisoners' food rations did not meet statutory standards and ordered the prison service to issue updated guidelines to ensure adequate nutrition by April 12.

Six wounded in Abu Dhabi after missile intercepted near Khalifa Port, authorities say

Six people were wounded after three fires broke out in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, on Saturday, caused by debris from a ballistic missile interception, the emirate's media office said.

The fires, in the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi area near Khalifa Port, have been brought under control, with cooling operations underway.

Authorities said emergency teams responded in the industrial zone, part of AD Ports Group, located between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Report: Thailand says Iran agrees to let its tankers through Strait of Hormuz

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul of Thailand said his country had negotiated with Iran to allow safe passage of Thai oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, the Wall Street Journal reported.

According to the report, earlier this month Iran said its forces fired on a Thai-flagged cargo ship, Mayuree Naree, which caught fire north of Oman after being hit by an unknown projectile. Three crew members went missing and another 20 were rescued.

Yemen's pro-Iran Houthis confirm they launched missile on Israel

⁠Yemen's ‌pro-Iran Houthis confirmed on ‌Saturday that they had ⁠launched an attack ⁠on Israel for the first time during the current Israeli-U.S. war against Iran, marking ‌their entry to the ‌conflict and raising the prospects of a broader regional confrontation.

The group ⁠said the attack with a barrage of ‌missiles ⁠came after continued targeting ‌of infrastructure in Iran, Lebanon, Iraq and the Palestinian ⁠territories, adding that their operations would continue until the "aggression" on ‌all fronts ends.

Two officers seriously wounded in two incidents in southern Lebanon, IDF says

An Israel Defense Force officer was severely wounded and another moderately wounded Friday after an anti-tank missile struck troops during an encounter in southern Lebanon, the military said on Saturday.

In a separate incident overnight Saturday, another officer was severely wounded and six soldiers moderately injured by rocket fire targeting Israeli forces operating in the area.

Sirens sound off continuously across Northern Israel; IDF intercepts two Hezbollah drones

Sirens sounded off continuously for over 90 minutes across Northern Israel due to drones and rocket fire.

Starting at 07:28, a drone threat triggered sirens in the west Galilee, in and around the city of Safed, and later again in the west Galilee and around Kiryat Shmona and across the Galilee panhandle.

Shortly afterwards, sirens sounded in and around Nahariya, Acre, and in and around Haifa. Later, Sirens also sounded in and around Yokne'am.

Two Hezbollah drones have been intercepted around 9am, said the IDF.

A small number of rockets have also been fired from Lebanon toward the north of Israel, most of which were intercepted, and one landed in open areas, according to the IDF.

No casualties have been reported following the sirens, according to Magen David Adom.

■ Russia is sending a shipment of drones to Iran, including upgraded versions of the drone technology Tehran originally supplied to Moscow after its invasion of Ukraine.

■ German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said he can envisage the country's Bundeswehr armed forces being deployed to clear mines in the Strait of Hormuz once the war in Iran has ended.

■ in Syria, explosions were heard near the capital of Damascus after Israeli air defences intercepted Iranian missiles in the country's airspace, according to Syrian state television.

■ An Israeli court on Thursday partially lifted the gag order on a reservist using classified information about the timing of Israel's June 2025 strikes on Iran for Polymarket bets, revealing that the reservist is a major at the Israel Air Force.
