Zelensky: 11 hospitalized in Dnipro after Russian attack, rescue operation ongoing

In Dnipro, 11 people remain in hospitals following a Russian attack, while a rescue operation is ongoing at the site of a strike on a residential building, where people may still be trapped under the rubble.

This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“Right now, 11 people are in hospitals in Dnipro after Russia’s attack on the city. A rescue operation continues at the site of the strike on a residential building. People may still be trapped under the rubble,” Zelensky wrote.

He said Russian forces carried out strikes on Dnipro and other cities and communities across Ukraine throughout the night, using attack drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles.

Preliminary data indicate that more than 30 people have been injured across Ukraine. Casualties have been reported in the Chernihiv, Odesa, and Kharkiv regions. At least four people have been killed.

“Russia’s tactics remain unchanged – attack drones, cruise missiles, and a significant number of ballistic missiles. Most targets are civilian infrastructure in cities. Residential buildings, energy facilities, and businesses have been damaged.

Each such strike must remind our partners that the situation requires immediate and decisive action. We need rapid strengthening of our air defense – and I am grateful for the decisions taken on Thursday during the meetings in Cyprus regarding additional contributions to the PURL initiative. There are political decisions from several European countries, and it is important that they are implemented as quickly as possible,” the President stressed.

He urged the preparation of the 21st EU sanctions package against Russia, noting that delays in the 20th package allowed the aggressor time to adapt.

As previously reported, bodies of two people were recovered from the rubble of a damaged building in Dnipro, while up to five more people may still be trapped.
