A Russian strike on transport infrastructure in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region killed one person and injured another on Wednesday morning, local authorities said.
The attack came amid warnings of incoming drones and guided aerial bombs targeting the region.

“As a result of the enemy strike on transport infrastructure, one man was killed. Another person was injured,” said Ivan Fedorov.
Fedorov, who heads the regional military administration, previously served as mayor of Melitopol and gained international attention after being detained by Russian forces in 2022 and later released in a prisoner exchange.
The Zaporizhzhia region remains a frequent target of Russian strikes as Moscow continues its campaign against Ukrainian infrastructure.
