UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said banning some pro-Palestinian marches could be justified, citing concerns about public safety and anti-Semitic incidents.
Speaking to the BBC, Starmer said he supports peaceful protest but added that certain chants are “completely off limits” and may require tougher action.
The comments follow recent incidents in Golders Green, a north London area with a large Jewish community.
Starmer said some protests may need to be stopped altogether, while authorities increase scrutiny of the language used during demonstrations.
