On Monday night, drones again attacked the oil refinery in the city of Tuapse in Russia’s Krasnodar region, resulting in a fire at the facility’s tank farm.

The Operational Headquarters of the Krasnodar Region of the Russian Federation confirmed that a fire broke out again at the oil refinery in Tuapse as a result of the drone attack.
They claim that the fire at the facility was caused by falling drone debris. There were no casualties as a result of the UAV attack, and 122 people and 39 pieces of equipment were deployed to extinguish the fire, the report states.
Meanwhile, Tuapse Mayor Sergey Boyko stated on social media that a temporary shelter had been opened at one of the city’s schools, though he did not explain who might need it or why.
Early in the night, the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) announced the closure of airports in Sochi, Gelendzhik, and Krasnodar. Russian monitoring Telegram channels reported an air raid alert in Tuapse and the surrounding area.
According to Astra’s OSINT analysis, only four days have passed since the large-scale fire at the Tuapse oil refinery’s marine terminal was fully extinguished following previous attacks.
On the night of April 27–28, residents of Tuapse reported a large number of explosions and a new fire at the local oil refinery.
According to preliminary reports, the tank farm located next to the ELOU-AVT-12 unit was attacked.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed to have shot down 186 drones between 10:00 p.m. local time on Monday and 7:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday.
The defense ministry of the aggressor country claims that the UAVs were shot down over the Astrakhan, Volgograd, Rostov, and Kursk regions, as well as the Krasnodar region, and over the temporarily occupied Crimea, the Black Sea, and the Sea of Azov.

The Tuapse oil refinery had already come under drone attack on April 16; the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the damage.
