An Iranian army commander in West Azerbaijan said attempts by enemies and separatist groups to infiltrate the country’s western borders had failed due to the vigilance of security forces and local communities, Tasnim news reported.
The commander said intelligence units prevented “the smallest action” as "enemies tried to create unstable conditions in the country by simultaneously designing military operations and creating social crises."
"These scenarios failed with the vigilance of the Iranian people," he said, adding that Sunnis and other ethnic groups have "defended Iran’s territorial integrity".
