Updated information from police and emergency services has indicated that 17 people, including a child, have been injured in Russian strikes on the city of Sumy on the evening of 10 April. Eleven high-rise residential buildings, a kindergarten and around 10 cars have been damaged.

Quote from the National Police: "Seventeen people were injured in the attack on the city of Sumy, namely a 14-year-old teenager, three men and 13 women of various ages.

Twelve high-rise residential buildings, one house, a kindergarten and 10 cars were also damaged."

Details: The State Emergency Service said that the first strike had hit a high-rise residential building, destroying the roof and causing a fire. After extinguishing the blaze, rescue workers began dismantling unstable structures. Five people suffered from shock and sought medical treatment.

The second strike hit another residential building, causing fires on the ground and second floors. Rescue workers rescued a woman that was injured and handed her over to medics.

Early reports from the State Emergency Service indicated that five people had been injured in that strike, including a child.

The State Emergency Service added that residents had been evacuated.

In total, 11 high-rise residential buildings, a kindergarten and around 10 cars were damaged.

Background: Fourteen people, including a child, were injured in a Russian drone strike on a residential building in the city of Sumy on the evening of 10 April.
