Russia launched a fresh wave of missile, bomb, and drone attacks across Ukraine early Friday, April 3, striking Kharkiv and Shostka, killing at least one civilian and injuring several others as a large-scale drone assault continued.
Early Friday morning, Russian forces launched missile strikes on Kharkiv. According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, four ballistic missiles hit the city’s Kyivskyi district, damaging multiple high-rise residential buildings, shattering windows, and rupturing a gas pipeline.

Regional authorities said a 63-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized, while an 18-year-old girl suffered an acute stress reaction.
In the Sumy region, Russian forces struck Shostka with four guided aerial bombs (KABs), hitting both private homes and a residential building.
Officials confirmed that a 59-year-old woman was killed in the attack. Three others were wounded and hospitalized, including a 29-year-old woman in critical condition. The victim’s relatives were among the injured.
