Russian forces launched hundreds of strikes across Ukraine’s southern regions over the past 24 hours, injuring civilians and damaging infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv, regional authorities said.
The attacks involved missiles, drones, airstrikes and artillery, with casualties reported in both regions.

Zaporizhzhia region under sustained fire
Russian forces carried out around 780 strikes on 41 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region over the past day, according to Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration head Ivan Fedorov, who reported the details on Telegram.
The attacks included a missile strike on one settlement, as well as 24 airstrikes, more than 400 drone attacks – mostly FPV drones – and over 300 artillery strikes.
Fedorov said three women were injured in the Zaporizhzhia district as a result of the attacks.
Authorities received 76 reports of damage to infrastructure, residential buildings, outbuildings and vehicles, he added.
Drone attack in Mykolaiv injures children
In the neighboring Mykolaiv region, Russian forces launched drone attacks using Shahed-type UAVs, according to Mykolaiv Regional State Administration head Vitalii Kim.
In the Voskresenske community, debris from a downed drone struck a public recreation area, injuring 10 people, including seven children aged between 10 and 16.
All victims were hospitalized, Kim said, adding that a 40-year-old woman and two teenage girls were in serious condition, while the others sustained moderate injuries.
