Background:
US President Donald Trump said he will delay strikes on Iran's energy facilities until 6 April at Tehran's request.
On 23 March, Trump wrote on Truth Social that after "productive" talks with Tehran, he had ordered the military to pause attacks on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for five days.
Prior to that, Trump threatened to bomb Iran's power facilities if Tehran did not restore freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global oil exports. Iranian officials responded that if the US struck power plants, they would target American infrastructure in the Middle East.
On 22 March, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the killing of Iranian leaders during the American-Israeli operation will have profound repercussions.
