Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with 149 Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas loitering munitions as well as drones of other types since the evening of 3 March. Ukrainian air defences have destroyed 129 of them. The attack is ongoing.
Quote:"As of 08:30, air defence had shot down or jammed 129 enemy Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas loitering munitions as well as drones of other types in the north, south and east of the country.
Strikes by 19 attack UAVs had been recorded at 15 locations and the fall of downed drones (debris) at one location."
Details:The Russians launched the drones from the directions of the Russian cities of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as from temporarily occupied Crimea. Around 100 of them were Shahed-type loitering munitions.
The aerial attack is being repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from the Ukrainian defence forces.
As of 08:50, the Russian attack is ongoing, as several UAVs remain in Ukraine's airspace.
