As of the morning of April 7, users in 170 settlements across nine regions were without power due to severe weather; Russian attacks have caused new power outages in seven regions.
According to Ukrinform, the NPC Ukrenergo reported this on Facebook.
"Due to adverse weather conditions (rain, strong gusts of wind), as of this morning, more than 170 settlements in nine regions—Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Odesa, and Mykolaiv—are completely or partially without power. Regional power company repair crews are already working to repair the damage," the statement reads.
In addition, due to drone, rocket, and artillery strikes, users in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Kherson, and Odesa regions are without power as of this morning. Power companies have begun repairs wherever safety conditions allow.
It is also reported that as of 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, electricity consumption was at the same level as the previous day.
“Today, there is a need for energy saving in all regions of Ukraine. Please limit the use of high-power electrical appliances from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and do not turn on several such appliances at the same time,” Ukrenergo advises.
As reported, on Tuesday, April 7, power restriction schedules will be in effect for industrial users from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in all regions.
