U.S. Forces Kill 2 in Caribbean Strike Against Suspected Narco Boat

Two are dead following a U.S. military strike in the Caribbean Sea against a suspected narcotics trafficking vessel, U.S. Southern Command announced late Monday. “Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Caribbean and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations,” reads the statement from SOUTHCOM. “No U.S. military forces were harmed.” At least 186 people have been killed as part of the ongoing Operation Southern Spear campaign against narcotics traffickers that began on Sept. 1, 2025. Monday’s strike is the 56th strike since the campaign began. The Trump administration has said the boats ferry fentanyl and cocaine.
