The first 100 hours of the US war on Iran are estimated to have cost about $3.7 billion, or roughly $891.4 million a day, according to the Washington-based Centre for Strategic and International Studies.

The think tank said the early phase of the conflict is particularly expensive because it relies on advanced and costly munitions.

With President Donald Trump and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth indicating the war could last for weeks, the report warned the Pentagon may need additional funding beyond its current budget.
