War update: 260 frontline clashes over past day, 44 battles in Pokrovsk sector

War update: 260 frontline clashes over past day, 44 battles in Pokrovsk sector

A total of 260 combat engagements between Ukraine's Defense Forces and Russian troops were recorded along the frontline on July 11, with the heaviest fighting taking place in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian forces repelled 44 assaults.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in its operational update released at 08:00 on July 12 on Facebook.

The General Staff said that over the past day Russia launched two missile strikes using nine missiles and carried out 88 airstrikes, dropping 244 guided aerial bombs. Russian forces also deployed 8,866 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,062 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including 44 strikes using multiple launch rocket systems.

Russian aircraft also carried out an airstrike on the city of Sumy.

Over the same period, Ukraine's Air Force, missile troops, and artillery struck 15 clusters of Russian personnel, four artillery systems, and one other high-value military target.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian assaults. Russian forces also carried out one airstrike involving three guided aerial bombs and shelled Ukrainian positions and settlements 76 times, including two attacks with multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian troops repelled eight attacks near Vovchansk, Lyman, and Starytsia, as well as toward Hryhorivka, Karaichne, Ivanivka, and Malyi Burluk.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops launched four attacks near Kupiansk and Podoly, as well as toward Borivska Andriivka and Petropavlivka.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 11 attacks near Lyman, Stavky, and Dibrova, as well as toward Novoselivka and Druzheliubivka.

In the Sloviansk sector, Russian forces carried out 23 assaults near Pyskunivka, Kryva Luka, Zakitne, and Riznykivka, as well as toward Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops attacked 10 times near Tykhonivka, and toward Fedorivka Druha, Malynivka, and Nykyforivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 19 attacks near Kostiantynivka and Illinivka, and toward Ivanopillia and Rusyn Yar.

The Pokrovsk sector remained the focal point of Russian offensive operations, with Ukrainian troops stopping 44 assaults. Fighting was reported near Novooleksandrivka, Shakhove, Bilytske, Rodynske, and Serhiivka, as well as toward Nove Shakhove, Hryshyne, Kucheriv Yar, Sofiivka, Nykanorivka, Dorozhnie, Novyi Donbas, Kamianka, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Udachne, and Novopidhorodnie.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian forces launched three attacks toward Voskresenka, Oleksandrohrad, and Piddubne.

In the Huliaipole sector, Russian troops conducted 13 assaults, attempting to advance near Huliaipilske, Novoselivka, and Verkhnia Tersa, as well as toward Charivne, Staroukrainka, Solodke, Dobropillia, Hirke, and Vozdvyzhivka.

No offensive operations were recorded in the Orikhiv or Dnipro River sectors.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, the General Staff reported no signs of Russian offensive groupings being formed.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Russia's total combat losses since the start of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,419,090 personnel, including 1,320 casualties recorded over the past day.
