On the front line over the previous day, May 26, 296 combat engagements between the Defense Forces of Ukraine and Russian invaders were recorded.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook in its operational update as of 08:00 on May 27.
The enemy launched 76 airstrikes, dropping 239 guided aerial bombs.
Russian forces also used 7,089 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,568 shelling attacks, including 36 using multiple launch rocket systems.
Ukraine’s Air Force, missile troops, and artillery struck seven areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, one artillery piece, and another important Russian military target.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out two airstrikes using six guided bombs and launched 87 shelling attacks, including two from MLRS systems. Nine enemy assault actions were recorded there.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, Russian forces attacked 13 times near Starytsia, Vovchansk, Vilcha, Hraniv, Ternova, Lyman, and Kolodiazne.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped five Russian attempts to advance toward Kupiansk, Kurylivka, Borova, Kolisnykivka, and Novoplatonivka.
In the Lyman direction, the Russian army attempted 12 times to break through defenses toward Lyman, Drobysheve, Dibrova, and near Yampil.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy launched eight assaults toward Rai-Oleksandrivka and Kryva Luka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops conducted one offensive action near Tykhonivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 26 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and toward Mykolaipillia, Vilne, and Kucheriv Yar.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 53 assault attempts by Russian troops near Nykanorivka, Kotlyne, Horikhove, Novooleksandrivka, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Udachne, and toward Shevchenko, Bilytske, Serhiivka, and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked once near Novokhatske.
In the Huliaipole direction, Russian forces carried out 35 attacks near Dobropillia, Zlahoda, Huliaipole, Solodke, Pryluky, Zaliznychne, Staroukrainka, and toward Novyi Zaporizhzhia, Tsvitkove, and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped three Russian attempts to advance toward Shcherbaky, Stepnohirsk, and Bilohiria.
In the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy attacked twice toward Bilogrudyi Island.
No signs of Russian offensive group formations were detected in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
As Ukrinform previously reported, total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to May 27, 2026, are estimated at approximately 1,358,950 personnel.
