Air Defense Forces have shot down 96 drones used by Russian troops to attack Ukraine since last night. Ballistic missile strikes and six enemy strike UAVs were recorded at several locations.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.

As noted, starting at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, Russian invaders launched the following at Ukraine:

  • Two Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region;
  • Two Kinzhal-type air-launched ballistic missiles from the airspace over the Ryazan region;
  • 105 Shahed-type combat drones, including jet-powered drones, Gerbera and Italmas drones, Banderol loitering munitions, and Parodiya decoy drones. These launches were carried out from the Russian settlements of Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from the temporarily occupied settlements of Kacha and Chauda (Autonomous Republic of Crimea).
  • The air attack was repelled by the Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

    According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 21, air defense systems in the north, south, east, and center of the country shot down or jammed 96 enemy drones of various types, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas.

    Ballistic missile strikes and strikes by six attack UAVs launched by the invaders were recorded at six locations, while debris was found at five others. Further verification of information regarding two air-launched ballistic missiles is ongoing.

    The Air Force emphasizes that enemy drones are still in the skies over Ukraine, and the attack is ongoing.

    As reported by Ukrinform, two people were killed, and 14 others were injured in the Poltava region as a result of a Russian attack on June 20. Children were among the injured.
