Drones strike “industrial facility” in Yaroslavl, Russia

Local authorities in Russia have stated that an “industrial facility” in Yaroslavl was damaged as a result of an attack by Ukrainian drones.

According to Ukrinform, the BBC reported this, citing Mikhail Yevraev, governor of the Yaroslavl region.

As is usual in such cases, the governor noted that allegedly “most of the drones were shot down.” However, he also reported that debris from a downed unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) had “struck” an industrial facility in Yaroslavl.

According to Yevraev, no one was injured.

The BBC, citing the Telegram channel Shot, adds that about 10 explosions were heard in Yaroslavl last night.

Russian authorities have not specified which industrial facility was hit last night.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of May 8, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the Yaroslavl Oil Refinery and a drone storage facility in Russia, as well as the Luhansk Oil Depot and air defense systems in the territory of Ukraine temporarily occupied by Russia.
