Four Border Police officers are today serving time in a military prison. Their only sin was to light a fire on an army base on a Friday evening. The four, all of them combat medics, had set up a barbecue grill on the outskirts of their base, far from any soldiers' quarters. A religious soldier who happened to be passing by saw them and reported their Shabbat violation to the base rabbi.
