Contract completion is expected in Q1 2027, while revenue from the order will be recognised in Q2 2026.
The value of the agreement is described as being in the high double-digit millions of euros.
The order includes ER02A1 B/B projectiles and M203 propellant charges, which are already used by several Nato states.
According to Rheinmetall, this ammunition is compatible with a variety of 155mm weapon systems and is noted for its extended range and operational effectiveness.
Rheinmetall has stated it is making substantial investments to expand production at existing sites and establish new facilities, indicating rising demand for modern 155mm projectiles and propellant charges.
The group began production expansion in 2022, with an aim to reach annual output of approximately 1.5 million 155mm artillery shells by the end of this decade.
Ukraine previously signed a €142m agreement with Rheinmetall in 2023 for tens of thousands of complete 155mm artillery shells, which included projectiles, fuses, propellants, and primers.
Last month, Ukraine increased its defence and security budget by Hrv1.56tn ($34.6bn), bringing the total planned expenditure for 2026 to Hrv4.4tn.
Of this amount, Hrv2.3tn is allocated for weapons and military equipment, more than Hrv1.45tn will go to military personnel, and Hrv40bn is set aside for regional resilience plans.
