Details: Ukraine's Foreign Ministry stressed that the US Embassy has not left Ukraine.
"Reports about the departure of the US Embassy are not true," Heorhii Tykhyi, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, told journalists.
On the morning of Thursday 28 May, ahead of an informal meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Cyprus (Gymnich format), Kallas claimed that the American embassy has been the only one to leave Ukraine following the latest threats from the Kremlin.
"Also, what we heard from Ukraine yesterday was that all the embassies stayed except one. So that also takes courage from those embassies. But yes, all the Europeans stayed. America left," Kallas said.
Background:
Russia is conducting a disinformation campaign against the Baltic states, claiming that they have allowed Ukraine to use their airspace for strikes against Russia.
Kallas criticised Russia's threats towards the Baltic countries, calling Moscow's accusations complete nonsense and a sign of weakness.
