The Israeli military said its forces carried out air attacks on an airport in Iran’s Isfahan on Saturday, destroying a number of F-14 fighter jets.
“Additionally, detection systems and air defence systems that posed a threat to Israeli Air Force aircraft were struck,” the statement published on Telegram said.
“This strike is in addition to the strike which dismantled 16 ‘Quds Force’ aircraft two days ago [Friday] at the Mehrabad airport in Tehran,” it added.
The jets were located at the airport in Isfahan, the city where Israel had previously destroyed Ghadr-class ballistic missiles and their launch platforms.
"We want to tell you that the hand of the State of Israel will continue to pursue every successor and every person who seeks to appoint a successor," the IDF wrote.
Members of the IRGC, the Basij, and other repressive forces still deployed in the streets have become fatigued and desperate, the officer said.
The announcement, which named the victims as Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Emad Al-Sharrah and Major Fahd Abdulaziz Al-Mujammad, didn't detail the circumstances of their deaths.
