In the Sumy region, three people were killed and 22 others injured over the past day as a result of Russian aggression.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by the National Police of Ukraine in the Sumy region.
“Police in the Sumy region are documenting the aftermath of enemy shelling: three people killed, 22 injured, including children,” the statement reads.
According to the report, over the past day, Russian forces continued to shell civilian infrastructure and the civilian population. Dozens of communities across the region came under fire.
In the Sumy community, six people were injured, including a 17-year-old girl. An administrative building, facilities, vehicles, an educational institution, and other civilian infrastructure were damaged.
In the Shostka community, one person was killed as a result of an airstrike, and four others were injured. Multi-storey and private residential buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities were damaged.
In the Velyka Pysarivka community, one person was killed in shelling. A vehicle and outbuildings were also damaged.
In the Bilopillia community, one person was killed and another injured during an attack.
In the Esman community, Svesa community, and Shalyhyne community, private houses and outbuildings were damaged.
It is also noted that after midnight, the enemy attacked the regional center with strike drones. In the Sumy community, hits were recorded on residential areas and other civilian infrastructure. Multi-storey buildings, vehicles, and utility networks were damaged. Preliminary reports indicate 11 people were injured, including a 15-year-old child. The information is being verified.
At the scenes, investigative teams and explosive ordnance disposal units were working. Law enforcement officers are documenting the aftermath of the attacks, recording destruction, and collecting evidence of war crimes.
