What could be unkosher about wine? A lot, it turns out. No less than 67 rules, protocols and directives are included in the compendium of the Chief Rabbinate's kosher certification department's regulations concerning wine and wineries, and the craziest regulation of all is that only a Shabbat-observing Jew is permitted to touch the wine, if it is to be kosher.
